Tandus Flooring was the first to introduce Powerbond Virtual Samples--printed to actual size. The patent-pending six-foot wide print design provides an effective Powerbond sample without producing physical flooring samples saving energy, water, waste and emissions.

By printing the Powerbond Virtual Samples, Tandus Flooring eliminates the manufacturing of physical Powerbond samples, reducing the company’s environmental impact significantly in the following ways:

  • 10,000 pounds of nylon saved or the equivalent of the weight of 3 Toyota Camry’s
  • 72,000 square feet of product not created
  • 44,800 gallons of water saved or 1,500 bathtubs of water
  • 216,000,000 BTU of energy not used or the equivalent to 1,564 gallons of crude oil
