The Inspirations Program is the product of long-standing partnership between Tandus Flooring and Contract magazine. The program recognizes leadership in socially responsible design among commercial interior designers and architects.

The Inspirations Program was launched in 2008 and in its first two years has recognized design firms from across the nation that have made a remarkable difference in their community through design.

Projects can be submitted in 2 categories—Completed Projects and Practice—with top honors receiving $5000 toward the cause supported by the design work. Projects for the 2011 program will be judged by a professional A&D panel of experts, which includes Marsha Maytum, FAIA, LEED AP, founding partner, Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects; Neil P. Frankel, FAIA, FIIDA, professor, University of Wisconsin School of Architecture & Urban Planning, and principal, Frankel + Coleman; and Susan Piedmont-Palladino, professor, Washington Alexandria Architecture Center College of Architecture and Urban Studies, Virginia Tech.

The 2011 Inspirations awards will be bestowed in Boston on April 6, 2011. Work will appear in a future issue of Contract magazine and ContractDesign.com
